Oh – oh. That’s not a good start. I shouldn’t call them “Camera Jockies” – at least where they might read it themselves!

In the recent “Around the Campfire with Bill” post  about the North American Hunter TV hunt on Anticosti Island with Charlie Valdez – the lucky guy from Las Cruces, New Mexico who won our Dream Hunt Give-Away – I unintentionally mentioned everyone involved by name except NAH-TV’s own camera jock…. err, I mean … producer. That post simply credited him as the “crew”.

(Note to self: These guys are sensitive artist souls whose delicate constitutions are easily bruised by things like that!)

Anyway … I’m sorry. It was uncaring, unthinking and I promise to be more sensitive to the producers’ needs in the future. I promise I will be more sensitive to the producers’ needs in the future. I promise I will be more sensitive to the producers’ needs in the future. I promise I will be more sensitive to….

Specifically, humbly, and profusely, I apologize to NAH-TV Lead Producer Terry Boeder. That’s T-E-R-R-Y B-O-E-D-E-R.

All jokes aside … Terry’s been an integral part of the North American Hunter TV team for a long time. In fact, we’ve been working together since way back since the ESPN days on the flagship show as well as a big part of the 13-year run of the “Shoot More, Shoot More Often” tip segments and two seasons of “The Shooting Sports.” We’ve been able go some pretty cool places and do some incredible things in all these years of working together. Terry loves taping wingshooting hunts above all else and has captured some amazing waterfowl and bird hunting footage for NAH-TV over the years. I treasure the incredible footage he’s taken of all my dogs doing their thing.

The hunt we did a couple weeks ago on Anticosti was also Terry’s first visit to the Island just like it was for Charlie the prize winner. So for me making my 12th hunt there it was even more special to have the chance to see this magical place through the eyes of two first-timers. So to you Charlie … and Terry … my sincere thanks for giving me the opportunity to share my Anticosti with you. I hope we get to do it again and again.

And to NAH-TV Producers Terry, Lonnie, Jeff, Brad and Phred I promise … you’re a lot more than just “the crew.”
